All we’ll need is your full name, address, SIN number, occupation, and marital status, plus some clarifying details about your employment situation and whether you’re registered with the CRA. You can be done in as little as 10 minutes!
Next, you’ll recieve a DocuSign email asking for your signature on several forms. By signing them, you’ll be agreeing to work with Homeroom and giving us access to essential information in your CRA account and your credit card authorization so we can process payment for our fee.
After you’ve submitted your E-Return and signed your forms with DocuSign, you’ll get an email showing you how to upload all your tax documents that we will need to file your taxes. Once we’ve received your documents, we’ll review them and let you know if we have any questions.
Once we’ve got all the information we need, it’ll be time for us to put our number crunching superpowers to work. We’ll get everything sorted out and email you a DocuSign draft to check over once all the i’s are dotted and t’s are crossed.
Now you’ll need to review the tax return draft you received in step four. If everything looks good, please sign the DocuSign tax return draft.
Who knew filing your taxes could be so easy? As soon as we receive your signed tax return draft, we’ll finish filing your taxes with the CRA. That’s it - all done!

Our office is always ready and willing to help you learn the process so that you can save yourself time and money. We encourage all clients to submit their documents electronically. However if you would REALLY like to drop off your paperwork, there is an additional charge of $70.

Once you complete the form we will send you further instructions and an email address that you can scan and email all of your files to. We also accept pictures taken with your phone. Please have your picture taken in a well-lit room and the writing is clearly visible.

This depends on how complex your return is, how organized you are, and how quickly you respond to emails. Typical turnaround time is 1-2 weeks.
YES! When you click on the “Request an E-return” button you will be able to include your family’s info if you select that you are either married or common law. And the best thing: you and all your family members get 10% when you file with Homeroom.

No we do not need to see them. You are responsible for all the receipts that support your expense claims. Please enter all your totals in the spreadsheet we provide you and keep your receipts in case of a CRA audit.
We offer an E-return because our team works remotely and we have an online submission system. If you have any questions, we will do our best to answer by email. Rest assured that if we have questions about your tax return that will require a conversation with you, we will set up a time to speak with you either over the phone or via zoom.
